Just to clarify, Random, I’m not in the slightest confused as to what you meant. What you meant was:

Unfortunately, there are still some benighted souls who think race is important. However, I am much more enlightened, and choose to disregard race. In fact, I am so morally superior that I choose to pretend that there’s no such thing as race. I know this might be a hard concept for those less intelligent benighted folks to grasp, so let me give you an analogy that might help you simple folk understand.

That’s what you meant. I’ve never had trouble understanding that. I’ve never asked to explain what you meant. All I’ve ever wanted you to explain is what you actually said, which is that money, such as gold coins and dollar bills are inedible, therefore they’re imaginary.

Whatever floats your boat, Random, but why you couldn’t have just explained here how dollar bills and gold are imaginary because you can’t eat them is beyond me. Unless, as I speculated above, you flubbed it. Which is nothing to be embarrassed about; we’re all human, and we all flub things occasionally. I know what you were trying to say about race; there’s no need to explain that. What I want you to explain is how it follows that because Krugerrands and dollar bills are inedible, they are therefore imaginary. Well, you can’t explain that. It’s nonsense. And you know it’s nonsense. And so does everyone who’s read it. But rather than admit that it’s nonsense, and you flubbed it, you want to give me some long drawn out explanation of what you “meant”. But nothing you will say will ever make it true that dollars bills and Krugerrands are imaginary because they’re inedible. But go ahead and knock yourself out if it makes you feel better.

Thank you for your messages. I will try to explain in a coherent, straight-forward, non-sarcastic fashion what I meant about money and racism.

Heck, Random, I’d be happy if you just explained what you meant.

You said dollar bills and gold Krugerrands don’t actually exist, but are imaginary, because they’re inedible.

Then you said something sarcastic which led me to believe that you were trying to say that race is imaginary and doesn’t exist.

And as far as the Louisiana R Senator who frequented the DC prostitute, has anyone found out if the hooker was a black woman or a white woman? You ask why should it matter. It doesnt– to me at least– but remember we’re talking Louisiana politics folks!

#5 I was impressed that Bob Jones III would climb on the Romney bandwagon. I remember McCain trying to make Bush’s visit to BJU some sort of campaign issue. Anyone on this blog and alumnus of BJU? Is it like BYU? That is, a religiously affiliated school with a big regional reputation??
