Cat people vs. bird people
It’s usually cat people vs. dog people, but in one courtroom drama that’s too funny for television and too good to be true, it’s cat people vs. bird people. That’s because one of the bird people shot a cat who, apparently, was stalking the very birds he likes to watch.

Yep, cats catch and sometimes eat birds. It must be genetic but we can’t seem to breed it out of them. So much for evolution

I’m sorry, but it’s not funny if that was someone’s pet that was shot.

Well, what’s really not funny is the damage cats do. The pet owner should keep his cats inside where they belong.
Cats should not be allowed to roam free. They are responsible for the death of hundreds of millions of migratory songbirds each year. And that’s according to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Cats are a menace to wildlife.

If I feed the birds and I feed the cat and the cat still kills the bird, well, that’s survival of the fittest.
Smart birds can evade cats, right? I don’t have a cat btw.
Cats never crap on my car either. Guess you can see which side I’m on in this thing.

It does sound like the cat was feral, though someone fed it. I think it was OK to kill it. I also think it’s irresponsible for cat owners to let their cats be outside in the city. On a farm, sure, but not in the city where the cat will inevitably be in others’ yards and where it will kill birds.
My brother (a pastor near LA) said the one comment he made that got the most comments of any he ever made from the pulpit was a joke about cats. He said nearly everyone who walked out was either laughing or outraged.

Another vote for the cat. She was only doing what comes natural. That’s Cats 4 Birds 2.

Genetics and survival of the fittest? This used to be a Christian/GOP blog.

“He’s not qualified to know what the cat was feeling,” said Mr. Nelson, when a police officer, John P. Bertolino Sr., testified that the cat was in terrible pain when he arrived at the crime scene.
That’s hilarious and sad, at the same time, as it shows how we’ve elevated animals to the status of humans.
Even evolutionists should be able to admit that cats and birds are lower in the food chain!

Some people believe birds are worth protecting. Some believe cats are worth protecting.
None of the critters are talking.
I don’t think either group of people will persuade the other they are wrong.
Some believe God is god.
Some believe Allah is god.
Neither deity is talking.

Which species of birds are endangered species as a result of housecats?
I suspect none.

I think it’s dumb to shoot a cat because “you like to watch the birds”. The guy was probably trying to re enact a Sylvester and Tweety short and it went all wrong.
