Make your own attack ad
Yippee — the grassroots can now get down in the mud. “The Caucus,” the political blog of the New York Times, reports:
The Democrats have started a new site, www.democrats.org/flippertv, where anyone can go and download sometimes-jumpy video of Republicans on the trail and then cut and paste and whip up their own ads. The party hopes that thousands of eyes might find something the mainstream media has missed, or that a new way of juxtaposing the video with something else will be revealing about the candidates.
Why do the Dems have all the good, nasty ideas?

Well the answer in this case is that the Dems are just better at using the internet.

Well, with our without the site, there is no doubt that people will be making their own political ads and posting them on utube.
In regards to the net in general, it has been the Democrats who have recognized it’s potential quicker than the Republicans did.
But the great thing about the net is that anyone can use it. I’m sure we’ll be seeing a counter-site from the Republicans in the near future.
Hold on, because the election of 2008 is going to be a bumpy ride!

Why do we need the internet when we have AM radio?

Democrats invented the internet. That’s why.

I’m sure the right won’t make Hillary look bad at all with their ads – because of the Internet prowess of socialists and lack of it by the right.
alGore might have invented it but the right owns the Internet and the ones getting rich off of it
Well see ya on the playground and say hi to al and thank him for us while you are at it.

MIM #4.
Because
(1) the internet has higher bandwidth than AM radio
(2) few people have AM transmitters, making it essentially one-way communication.
Fortunately, we have both. Though I can envision a day when we no longer use AM radio.

I was hoping to find some attack ads, but I could only find the tracker footage — mostly low key recordings of speeches — and pretty darn good ones too.
I don’t see any problem with this since it is truth. Truth is always good. Of course, the attack ads won’t care about truth.

As I posted yesterday, we should have nothing to fear from those who seek to record our every conservation. It’s our duty, therefore, to make sure our conversation (and conduct) is above reproach.
