Top ten stupid things people said about religion?
I bet nine out of ten of them were said by two out of two persons right here on this blog.

Top ten jobs in terms of overall job satisfaction
Top ten reasons health care costs are so high in the U.S. (I know what a number of reasons are, but not how they compare)
Top Ten classic movies rented from video stores (not sure how old a movie has to be to call it classic, but I’m mostly thinking movies from before I was a teenager, which would be pre-1975)
Top Ten easy-to-cook recipes that are healthy and the whole family will eat
Top ten books that changed somebody’s life (for the better)

Peter L:
If they didn’t have top ten lists, what would the magazines have to do at year’s end? They could always prognosticate, but that would mean the top ten forcasts.
I forcast
1. They will discover that Iran didn’t really give up it’s nuclear program.
2. Neither did North Korea.
3. Israel isn’t going to let a Palestinean state make it’s capital in Jerusalem.
4. Congress will investigate the CIA
5. Congress will investigate George Bush.
6. The media will think these investigations are important.
7. The CIA, George Bush, and most of America are going to think it’s a joke.
8. They will drill for oil in Brazil and the frozen tundra of Russia, but not in Alaska.
9. The price of oil will go up more in America and no one will understand why.
10. Congress will do something about the economy and the stock market will crash, but nobody will know why.

I don’t know, KBells. I’ve always heard good things about Dr. Dobson’s books.
And I would qualify #4 to refer only to full-time nannies and maids. It also depends partly on where you live. When I lived in Spain, I lived for a time with the family of an Air Force Captain stationed outside Madrid, whose wife was pregnant. She wanted an American student to live in their home, do some of the housework, and watch their 3-year-old sometimes (he also went to a local preschool in the morning), during the latter part of her pregnancy. In return I got free room and board. She also had a Spanish “maid” who came in once or twice a week to do a more thorough cleaning of floors and rugs, and maybe some other stuff.
They weren’t wealthy by American standards, but they made enough that they could pay for the help, and it was a great help to me and, I’m sure, to the Spanish woman, to have that kind of employment.
