Pork rinds, pretzels and politics
While Mike Huckabee and Barack Obama were taking Iowa, their rivals’ supporters were looking ahead to places like New Hampshire and South Carolina. WORLD political reporter Jamie Dean watched last night’s caucus results roll in with a couple of prominent Hillary Clinton campaigners at the Thank Ya Now Saloon in Pageland, S.C. Dean writes:
Nearby, a lone Hillary Clinton sign hung on the back wall next to a confederate flag emblazoned with the slogan: “The South Will Rise Again.” The mood in the bar was subdued as patrons and campaign staffers soon realized a political reality: On this night, Clinton wouldn’t rise in Iowa.
Be sure to read her recap of last night’s results, as well as Marvin Olasky’s comparison of this year’s race with the 1952 campaign.

Confederate flag and Hillary supporters? Does that mean that southern Democrats are racist and wouldn’t vote for Obama?

If they treat each other the way they treat others the Democrats are either going to have to accuse each other of racism or sexism, or both if they nominate Edwards.

Hillary can’t lose enough! She ought to be in prison, not running for President.
