It could work. It does seem sudden, but they aren't kids. His fiance looks suspiciously like his first wife. Perhaps he's trying to fill the void she left? His fiance's ring looks a lot like the engagement ring he gave his wife. He might have learned from his mistakes and perhaps he won't repeat them. He might have been terribly lonely in his first marriage and wants companionship and intimacy immediately. Maybe he doesn't like being single after being married. I hope it works out for them. Maybe it’s not a mistake. It could work.

If I were a French citizen I think this would have significance for me, because it would tell something about the character of the man leading my country. It's been over 30 years since I did a report on the French form of government for French class, so I don't remember how their President is selected. But when it comes to voting for our president, I do take into consideration how a candidate deals with the matter of marriage vows. Kyle A,
