Another Dem departs
“I will be announcing that I’m transiting out of the presidential campaign,” Dennis Kucinich told The Plain Dealer of Cleveland today. “I’m making that announcement tomorrow about a new direction.” There’s no word as to whether or not his “new direction” will involve a trip to Texas to check out the UFOs.

I will miss this funny man. He was as entertaining as Al Sharpton was the last time as a funny man.

Mr. Kucinich’s political views most closely match my own, so I’m disappointed by his bowing out. But I understand that those of us with a Democratic-Socialist view are a distinct minority in the US. I had no illusions that he would capture the Democratic nomination. It’s ok.

Thank God the majority of us don’t want to change the nature of this country.

Yeah, but we can make your life difficult.

Kucinich’s best comment was on the patriot act. “I voted against it because I actually read it”

I heard a report that he said he would now be campaigning again for his current seat. So, Kusinich is simply going from one campaign to another. The good thing about professional campaigners is that they rarely or never actually govern, so I shouldn’t complain too much.

One down, one to go.

Yeah, well reading is highly over-rated in America anyways. People who read end up thinking for themselves and forming their own opinions. Next thing you know they start questioning things and even doubting some stuff. We can’t have that!

Well we still have Mike “Maurice” Gravel, no?

Okay, so two to go.

Just think you don’t have Al Gore.
Gore got the prize, and who might be rolling over in their grave, could it
be NOBEL?
What a joke, and this guy could have been sitting in the OVAL Office,
with ‘his friends’?

Anlir #4 -Yeah, but we can make your life difficult.
JJ- That’s the atitude we usually get from libs, Bro. Why is it that whenever Dems don’t get their way, they often wish that nobody gets their way??
This is AMERICA, dude. In these times, we all should be looking towards what we can do what’s best for the country…..ie, cutting taxes, praying for our national and state leaders, lobbying our local general assemblies to kick corruption out of government. And God knows we have enough of that crud here in Rhode Island.
Anyway, Anlir, good to see you back in the mix of things

Victoria, I’m thanking God every day we don’t have Al Snore.

With one of the tallest gone from the race (Thompson) and now Kucinich, well I guess one could say we’ve seen the long and the short of primaries.

Justus: When asked why they frequent this Christian-based blog, many of the nonbelievers have stated that they come here to make life difficult for us. Nothing new.

Kucinich was running? You wouldn’t know it watching the MSM outlets. It’s all Clinton, Obama and the occasional Edwards. If the lessor known candidates had more airtime, perhaps we would get better nominees. It seems the best candidates are lost due to the party and media favorites getting all the press.
I suggest a new campaign law: every candidate gets the equivalent of a full page newspaper ad, as well as a half hour of TV and radio airtime in every major market. That’s all. No buying more airtime/press space for those with more money, none, nada, zilch.
