Ah the memories. I won’t repeat them, but I’ll add the ones I remember that haven’t been mentioned:

Frankie Smith – Double Dutch Bus

Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five – New York New York – This was the first rap I ever heard.

DJ Magic Mike – Drop Da Bass – It’s generally remixed rather than rapped to, but This was always the test of a good automobile speaker system and guaranteed to loosen the screws in your ride so it rattled after the first playing.

I’ve listened to little rap, and most of what I have heard I didn’t like. But there is one song I liked: “White and Nerdy” by “Wierd Al” Yankovic. Sometimes I watch the accompanying music video just for amusement.
