Maybe someone should challenge the Pope!

The Catholic church demonizes homosexuality as being an evil choice in spite of the large body of evidence that homosexuality is biological/genetic. Faithful, demonized homosexuals genuinely believe they are evil and seek environments that might minimize their 'evil' urges (or opportunities to act on them). The demanded celibacy of the priesthood seems perfect (at least for males). ...and nobody asks them why they don't have a girlfriend. Unfortunately, that puts them in close proximity to credulous children whose parents tell them to trust their priest explicitly...even above themselves sometimes.

If I were to design a trap to catch repressed, homosexual men; I don't know that I could do better than the Catholic church.

While reading Dr. Olasky's book "The Religions Next Door" I was saddened/shocked by the way the descendants of Jacob have been treated by Christians throughout the centuries.

One must admit, it was touching to see the Pope embracing the rabbi in that synagogue, considering the aforementioned treatment of Jews.

Were it not for massive immigration from Catholic predominant countries like Mexico, Benedict's US churches would have experienced net loss of parishioners. Can an organization or its head truly be an "honest broker" on the topic of immigration when they depend so much on it? I think not.
