I see girls with shirts that appear to serve as sausage casings and haave slogans such as "You can't rape the willing". Cheerleaders outfits are not so modest...These folks walk the halls of high schools daily and grace the sports fields to the cheering of parents and officials. The kids dress is tasteless and revealing...but this is a place where they also hand out condoms...so why should she suddenly expect modesty and decency is the order of the day for the prom? Nothing like decent parental example, approved rules, high standards with appropriate goals and guidance. Get real. The inmates should not run the asylum. If an adult in a responsible role of authority tells a high school girl that it is inappropriate, then it is inappropriate, period. When we tolerate such disrespect for authority and demand detailed legal codes for everything we do, the WE are the ones guilty of mandating extreme legalism and a tyranny of rules.
