Rants! & Raves! 5.30
Here it is, Rants! & Raves!, your weekly chance to sound off about the week past. Remember the rules:
1. A Rave! is something that happened during the past week that you’re pleased about and is signified by the word “Rave!” and/or an appropriately peppy emoticon.
2 A Rant! is something that happened during the past week that you’re ticked about and is signified by the word “Rant!” and/or an appropriately grumpy emoticon.
3. You may Rant! about something a person said, did or wrote, but you may not Rant! about generally disliking a person.
Have fun!

Rave: a Hollywood anticommunist movie!! Of course, any anti-Soviet film is appreciated even if as with the new Indiana Jones pic it arrives about a decade or so too late.

Rave: A down to earth doctor who is very matter of fact and is now taking care of my father

Sawgunner: Ever hear of James Bond?

Good to hear your Rave, Kim.
And I liked Indy too.

Rave: My husband’s wisdom tooth surgery went smoothly, and he is recovering nicely. He is losing weight, however, since he has been living on a diet mostly consisting of mashed potatoes, yogurt, ice cream, pudding, bananas and bread. He is longing for a steak, which will come soon enough!
Rant: Insurance doesn’t cover it all, so we will have a hefty bill.
Rave: We have insurance to cover some of it.

Theselittleones, my sympathy to you both and the children when they hear the news. I sure pray he will be there for the next baby.
Cheryl: did you go to Radford Lake or somewhere else? Does your brother live near you?

KI: Radnor Lake. My brother lives near Chattanooga–two hours by motorcycle. We both rejoice that I’m now close enough to see each other several times a year instead of every few years.

Cheryl: Boy, I sure did butcher that name! I’ve gone to Radnor Lake several times with my daughter and grandchildren. It is a very nice place to walk and amazingly right in the city. How nice to be close to your brother and to enjoy being together.

Janedoe- I respect a man who realizes when he has done wrong and tries to correct it. Even if he is a slug.
I’m not sure I understand how you phrased your question. What lives did McClellan save? As far as I can tell he only cost people their lives.

McClellan saved his own skin. Who knows what prompted this little man to come forth with his tales, unless of course it was $, nay I doubt that, or was it notoriety, nay, I doubt that — let’s see, it must have been his honest, straightforward, conscience which directed him straight to a publisher —- waiting and willing to hear the words of a man who had a ’story’ to tell.
Yes Lumps, we are all ears, we can’t wait for the next installment, whatever that might be.
