No sooner had the Lord settled the Israelites each in their own allotted tribal lands than the first internecine fight broke out. Almost. The two and a half tribes that had taken territory on the east side of the Jordan erected an imposing altar. When the tribes on the West side heard about it they gathered together and prepared for war. (The law of Moses had expressly forbidden the formal worship of God at any except the designated place.)
Fortunately, before running the brothers through with swords, the West-siders stopped a minute to explain to them why they were about to kill them:
“What is this breach of faith that you have committed against the God of Israel in turning away this day from following the Lord by building yourselves an altar this day in rebellion against the Lord? Have we not had enough of the sin at Peor from which even yet we have not cleansed ourselves, and for which there came a plague upon the congregation of the Lord, that you too must turn away this day from following the Lord….”
It turns out the East-siders had a perfectly good explanation, and bloodshed was averted: The replica altar they had built was not for burnt offerings but as a witness to remind all Israelites in future generations that though located on the other side of the Jordan, they were just as much a part of Israel as their West-side brothers.
All of which tells me that it’s good to have zeal for the Lord — but it’s also good to talk to the brothers first before you jump all over them with swords. They might have some perspective you hadn’t thought of.

This sort of reminds me of 1948 to 1951. When Israel declared their independence as a nation in 1948, their, then as now, peaceful surrounding Arab neighbors immediately attacked Israel in their first formal attempt to kill all the Jews and drive Israel into the sea.
Palestine was first partitioned 3 years after the 1919 Balfour Agreement that mandated a state for Jews to be called Israel. But first in 1921, 75% of the land was taken away instead to create a Palestinian state called Trans-Jordan (meaning on the other side of the Jordan River – the East side) – to appease the Arabs. This was the first appeasement.
The remaining 25% of the land was supposed to used to create a state for the Jews called Israel. Well, this state was never created because the Arabs just couldn’t bring themselves to let the Jews have even a part of their old land back for a homeland and country of their own.
Well, when the US finally backed the UN’s (what we call it today anyway) plan to crate a Jewish state for the Jews and they declared their independence as a country in 1948 finally completing the Balfour Agreement, Trans-Jordan immediately attacked Israel’s West Bank of the Jordan River from the East side.
During this horrible war that lasted a year, 1% of Jews in Israel lost their lives (like the US losing 3 million soldiers in Iraq instead of the 4,000 we have lost there) but they also lost the West Bank and Jerusalem to the Trans-Jordans, the northern part of Israel to the Syrians and the southern parts to Egypt.
At the end of the 1948 war, Israel finally ended up with just 12.5% of the original land in the Balfour agreement that was supposed to be used entirely for their homeland and the Palestinians ended up 87.5% of it for their homeland and country.
In 1951, since Trans-Jordan has seized the West Bank of the Jordan and Jerusalem from the Jews in 1948, they annexed this land into Trans-Jordan and changed the name of the country to Jordan (since they now controlled both sides of the Jordan river). Jordanian citizenship was immediately given to Arab Palestinians on the West Bank and Jordan was a country that considered itself 75% Palestinian as it should since that is why the country was created in the first place. To this day 75% of Palestinians travel with Jordanian passports.
But, one must know history to understand the Middle East today. Not one Palestinian ever asked for a country of their own before 1967 because they already had their own country since 1921. The only reason that Palestinians are tying to fool the world for their own state today is because they know the world does not remember its history and because the Israelis took back the lands they lost in 1948 during the 6 Day War in 1967.
One must also remember that the PLO was formed by Arafat in 1964, 3 years before the West Bank and Jerusalem were taken back by Israel – when it was part of Jordan. No one was asking for a Palestinian State then – the PLO was formed for the expressed purpose of driving the state of Israel into the sea and killing the Jews that lived there – period – and this is what the PLO’s founding charter and manifesto says to this day. It also explains the patch that Arafat always wore on his military fatigues that showed the map of the future state of Palestine. The map on the patch Arafat wore was a map of the state of Israel.
Palestinians were the first of the Islamofascist terrorists and Arafat was its Godfather. Before Ossama came along, they were the first to terrorize and kill Americans and had killed more Americans than any other terrorist group. They started it all.
So here is some advice. Just like you would for liberal, socialist, democrats (political terrorists) and other terrorists, never ever believe anything coming out of a Palestinians mouth but watch very closely what they do instead – if you want to stay alive and have a hope to prosper.
I thought you might want to here another real piece of history and a story of East and West Bank of the Jordan River where Israelis really did die horribly.

One must also remember the first economic act of terrorism committed by Islamofascists against America. This too is based entirely on the Yom Kippur War in October 1973.
Before the Yom Kippur War, the US government had never given any military aid or weapons to Israel. France and Other European nations was Israel’s weapons suppliers before then. It’s hard to believe knowing that today the US supplies Israel with the bulk of their weapons (which they pay for by the way) but the Israelis also supply the US with certain military weapons too. The reason we do so today is all because of the Yom Kippur War.
The Russians and Arabs had been planning on attacking Israel for 6 years and the Saudis would pay Russia for the weapons. planning and logistics and the Egyptians, Syrians, Lebanese and Jordanians would do the fighting (Just like always). The Arabs wanted to wipe Israel off the map once and for all after their humiliating defeats in 1948, 1956 and 1967. They Arabs and Russians were leaving nothing to chance.
Russia has supplied the Arabs with the latest end of Vietnam era planes, tanks, SAM missile batteries, ammunition, fuel tanker trucks, other weapons and material. The Russians also had fully loaded supply ships sitting in Arab ports full of resupply materials and had additional resupply ships at sea heading for Arab ports, The Russians had also crafted a perfect and powerful plan of attack as well and had trained the Arab armies and air forces to carry out the mission to wipe Israel off the map once and for all. Russians were also manning the SAM missile batteries to make sure that the Arabs would not foul up shooting down the Israeli Air force. The key, like all modern war, was to control the air over the battlefield – a good thing to always remember if you are a military strategist and battle planner.
Through our satellites in space the US knew that the Arabs and Russians were going to attack but the US did not pass this Intel on to the Israelis.
The Russians had planned on having the Arabs attack on Yon Kippur the most holy day in Israel and when Israel would be most vulnerable. But the day of attack was not as important as the way the attack would happen. The Arabs would attack little Israel with the combined forces greater than the entire US and Western European forces stationed in Europe – stationed there to hold back an all pout attack of Russia against Western Europe – an overwhelming force. They could not lose and Israel could not win – at least not with conventional weapons. But, Israel also had secret nuclear weapons they had developed to stop an all out Arab attack as a last ditch effort to keep from being over run and annihilated by the Arabs.

The attack plan worked perfectly. The Russians shot down the entire Israeli Air Force in 48 hours. The Israelis didn’t know the Arabs had the latest greatest SAM missile systems being operated by Russians, they just knew they had to slow down the Arab tank forces long enough for the Israeli reserves to be called up and thrown into the battle. The majority forces of the Israeli army were like today, reserve forces that are not on active duty. But even most of Israel’s active duty military forces were at home for the Yom Kippur holidays.
The Israelis could not call up their reserve forces fast enough and the Egyptians had 1,000 tanks and 100,000 men in the desert virtually unopposed heading for Tel Aviv as fast as they could go, with no Israeli air force to stop them. The Israelis had pilots but no planes. It was bleak and Israel was finished once and for all. Sadat was short of fuel and tankers so he made the decision to fuel up his tanks for the final push into Tel Aviv and he told the field commanders to leave the SAM missile batteries behind since the Israeli air force was already destroyed. Golda Mayer sent a telex to Henry Kissinger.
She said that she had no choice. If the US would not help Israel she would be forced to nuke the Arabs to stop them as a last resort. Nixon had ordered the last 3 returning aircraft carriers coming back to the USA from Nam at the end of that war to go to the Arabian Gulf instead when the US Military informed him the Russians and the Arabs were going to attack Israel from the satellite photos. Nixon was just trying to keep the Russians out of the ground war if the Arabs failed to wipe out Israel – these 3 carriers were insurance to keep the Russian at bay but they turned out to be much more.
Nixon and Kissinger were afraid that if the Israelis nuked the Arabs they would also go after the Russian ships in Arab ports and there were Russians still out in the desert manning the SAM missile batteries. The Russians would retaliate with their nukes against the Israelis and then the US would have to nuke Russia in response. It’s the old domino theory of what happens if nukes are ever used by one side. have you ever thought about it? Well people do.
Rather than risk nuclear war with the Russians, and still try to keep the Israelis from being annihilated, Nixon ordered all the planes on the 3 US carriers (nearly 300 planes) to be fueled, fully armed and flown to Israeli airbases where Israeli pilots would get in them if possible. The Israelis now had a much larger, most modern and way more powerful air force than they started the war with. They also had US pilots to fly these planes against 4the Arabs if necessary. Well, it was, and US pilots didn’t like Russians helping Arabs attack poor little Israel – again.
Poor Sadat had his tanks heading for Tel Aviv unopposed heading for certain victory but doing so without SAM missile coverage for them. Planes eat tanks alive for lunch as we all know and these planes were no exception. Within 48 hours the entire Arab forces attacking Israel from all sides were defeated and the war was over.
Defeat had been handed to the Arabs again, but this time the defeat was truly horrible – when certain victory was finally nearly assured, after doing everything right. The day after the war ended the Arabs declared the first oil embargo against the USA as punishment for helping Israel militarily for the first time. The Russians told Nixon that if he tried to defeat the oil embargo militarily they would nuke the USA. Nixon was a woosie and the Russian threat worked.
The Arabs have been attacking us ever since then any way they can. The Saudis started and funded Whabbi Islamic schools all over the world to fuel Israeli and USA hatred that would create and supply Islamofascists like Ossama with the means to kill us all. Rather than attacking Israel militarily and wasting huge sums of money losing the Arabs have kept the Palestinians living in squallar and willing to do anything to erase Israel off the map – even blowing up their own children if that is what it takes.
Now this most naive, nut case, whack job, socialist Islaofacscits appeasing Presidential Candidate Obama thinks he can talk them into being normal, take the price of oil back down to $10 a barrel and have them live in peace with Israel and the USA.
Some of us don’t believe it – nothing personal but we have seen this before and want to stay alive instead.
So now when you wonder why the all the Arabs are hell bent on getting nuclear weapons adn who they would use them on – you don’t have to wonder. They blame you for everything and you must die – not even coverting to Islam will help you one little bit either.

Lets get some ground rules straight first.
Like a prominent Arab King once side in his memoirs. ‘There is no such thing as an Arab Palestinian. It is myth thought up Arabs to make westerners think Israelis are horrible. Everyone knows that what we propagandize as Arab Palestinians are really just ordinary Syrian nomads. They have always been Syrians and will always be Syrians. They are no different in any way than any Syrian. In fact, before 1967 in order to be a Palestinian – you had to be Jewish.’ Yep before 1967 only Jews could be Palestinians Nicky.
If we are going to count deaths and injuries, then we will start from 1882 when Jewish settlers started to return to Palestine and were routinely killed for sport by Arabs posing as Palestinians.
If we are going to look at disputed land then we will use the Peel Commission report on this very subject where the British found out that there were only 300 complaints of Jews taking over Arab Palestinian land without paying for it and that in these 300 cases not one could provide any documentation as to them ever owning the land in the first place. But other Arabs could.
We will use the UN’s own records as to what land was part of the Jewish state in 1948 that was donated by the UN to them. We will also use the recorded deeds of land sold to Jews by the legal Arab land owners. It seems these Arab land owners were very wealthy but they were absentee owners who were living in Cairo, like Arafat’s Daddy who sold his land in Jerusalem to Jews, or they lived in Damascus, Beirut and other Arab capitals. It seems that Arab Palestinians who actually lived in Palestine at the time were mainly, as a group Feline, poor Syrian nomads who routinely squatted for years on other peoples land that they did not own.
When this land was sold to Jews by the rich Arabs who owned it they sold it for a reason and the reason was not to make the poor Arab Syrians posing as Palestinians homeless either. They just figured that they could always get it back by taking it form the Jews once they had gotten as much money out of them by selling them worthless land. Jewish land owners and immigrants were vastly outnumbered in what would become Israel until just a few decades before independence.
Even the Mufti of Jerusalem, that went to live in Germany during WW 2 and a real Jew hater, leased his land to Jews in Jerusalem. Rich Arabs were making a financial killing selling their worthless land to Jews. They had no idea that the Jews would make the desert bloom instead. But once it bloomed the Arabs knew they would just take it back one day after the hard work was done.
In 1936 the British made a new law that made it illegal for Arabs to sell any more land to Jews and Jews were officially banned from immigrating to Palestine. What Happened? The Arabs rioted to get this law overturned so they could keep making a killing in their land sales but they killed a few thousand Jews while they rioted too – just for sport and to quell their growing Jewish hatred (sort of like yours). By 1940 the Arabs were selling the most worthless desert land on the planet to Jews for $1,000 an acre when the best farmland in the world in the USA was sold for $100 a acre.
Another Arab Sheik proclaimed “I wish Arabs would put as much effort into not selling Jews land as they do into their fake weeping and wailing over their plight.”
I have forgotten more of the facts than you will ever try to learn when it comes to the Middle East Nicky Boy. You can’t fool me with your nonsensical lies and propaganda. You should spend less time weeping and wailing and search for the truth instead. But that would take work, scholarship and some effort on your part adn you prefer other things don’t you? Have a hankie – ho charge.

I never claimed that Israelis were perfect. They have made mistakes and they are not blameless. But on the other hand being fair and all, they are not the ones hell bent on genocide, blowing up their children either, trying to murder their neighbors and trying to steal their neighbors country either.
The Arabs and Palestinians lost the the wars, their thoughts of taking their land sales back after the work to make it bloom was finished, their propaganda war focused on weak minded Westerners like you has failed – if you are not a Palestinian that is. Palestinians have been held hostage and exploited by their own Arabs who refuse to give them a home when plenty of land and money was available to do so. When ever they are given a chance to govern themselves civil war breaks out and they just kill each other. They live and act like animals. Their culture and society is evil and deadly. They blame others for their own stupid mistakes. Look its all the Jews and fault. They have become little Hitlers. Now they have gone generations without educating their children and only teaching them the best thing they can hope for is to kill themselves.

Just for the record what “nonsensical lies and propaganda” did I make in comments #5 and #8?
I hope you do realize it is because of people like you no one wants to discuss Israel in this country. The smallest negative comment (however reasonably) about Israel means that person will be smeared, not debated or refuted.
In your endless history lesson about Israel you forgot to mention the U.S.S. Liberty, the gas shortages in the 1970’s because of our support for Israel, the Lebanon barracks suicide bombing because U.S. soldiers were trying to keep peace between Lebanon and Israel and Israel’s despicable and cowardly 2006 attack on defenseless and fleeing Lebanese people.
Because you know so much about a small Middle Eastern country that doesn’t have any oil you could fill in those details for me. I know you are intelligent because you just said you were.
