If you can find the audio narrated by John Clese all the better; it's terrific. Our adversary prowls about seeking whom he may devour. But I agree that the larger problem is identified by John in 1 John 2:15, 16 namely the world system and my flesh. I call them the 3 P's; Pleasure, Possessions, and Pride. (OK, don't laugh.) My granddaughter is not allowed to watch television because it hypnotizes children. Neither my wife and I on our island, nor Random Granddaughter with two mommies in the city, watch live television, though we own dead TVs and DVD players. Last Christmas (we celebrate an atheistic/agnostic/pagan/heathen/winter solstice Christmas) mommies decided to let RG watch her first television show (still three years old) so she wouldn't start thinking television was something special that only Christian kids get to watch. RG did have an Advent Calendar.) We had a tape of <i>The Grinch</i>. She watched intently. After she went to bed, she told Mommy (birth mother/my daughter's partner), "I was watching 'TAY-VAY'." It was clear she felt she was doing something naughty. She also said, in a tone of some concern and dread, "The Grinch was BAD!" Satan was defeated at Calvary. We have to remember that, and also realize that the majority of sin comes from the world and our flesh. When we take a "Satan's behing every doorpost nipping at our heels" it... well makes people like Night Train say, "Oh, brother." Is it any wonder people question Christianity when we give a creature (and a pretty much dead one at that) this much power? Just a thought.
