Yes, very sad obit

I am glad I was able to find some positive things to say about my mother after she died, although my overall sense was of missing “what we never had” as that obit-writer said. Even when she reached out to people mostly so that they would love her in return, she did reach out to them, and I know there were lonely people who did appreciate that. She always said she was doing the best she could, and one wise person (who became a sort of “foster mother” to me) said she figured my mother must be telling the truth, because no one would intentionally be as miserable as my mother was.

Random – That was a very sad obituary, indeed.

My pastor cut out & kept an obit of a woman written by her husband. He wrote some wonderful words about his beloved wife. I hope he said those words to her while she was alive.

#80 I am not always brief, including my humorous efforts, and people complain. So some of my best (or worst, season to taste) efforts go on my own blog, to be briefer here.

I am now sometimes briefer than llama, at least.

OpTeen, I should apologize for creating the fuss that I did back in #15. But I’m not sorry. You’ll note that I said I correct my granddaughter, it’s because I love her. That’s what curmudgeons (grouchy old men) do. Besides, you want to impress the college board.
(I once heard on the radio an announcement that “A program will be presented by Dr. Jones and I….” I didn’t go.)

Random Name, that is about the saddest obituary I’ve ever seen. I can’t imagine a life that was completely useless to anyone. Everybody has to mean something to somebody.

John McCain’s big idea for energy independence is offering $300 million to anyone who can come up with a car battery that can replace our dependence on oil.

But, as usual, McCain’s a dollar short, 86 years late and running on empty.

Steinmetz published his “Law of Hysteresis,” or “Steinmetz’s Law” – a fundamental law of magnetism that allows for the loss of electrical power in an engine due to magnetism to be calculated and minimized, and helped create today’s long-distance power grids – in the American Institute of Electrical Engineering’s periodical called “Electrical Engineer” in 1892.

Why won’t he release his service records. Didn’t the neo-cons badger Kerry into releasing his in 04?

Goose and Gander stuff.

If he won’t release them he is hiding some very important information from the voters.

In case anyone is curious, I am leaning toward voting for a presidential candidate not endorsed by the worst president in American history.

Being careful with the grammar, I have to ask, “Whom has Jimmy Carter endorsed?”
