Outkast, with all the hoopla over Sarah and the nasty remarks from the DEM’s – angry over who McCain picked – I’m certain Biden isn’t going to fair very well with the Gov. of Alaska. Gov. Palin has taken on the tough and rough guys from Alaska for some time, she’s used to all the underhanded remarks and deals — Biden won’t be able to keep up with a woman who can hold her own –

If Dems want victory in November, they will have to do it the old-fashioned way — earn it. And we know what that means. The woman hasn’t said two words yet, and she’s “terrifying” people.

Kyle: You are really misinterpreting the reaction. We’re not criticising and certainly not giving “cries.” We’re elated. McCain has just sunk whatever slim chance he might have had of winning this thing.

You know the talk about how Palin, with her extreme rightwing views, will energize the conservative evangelicals who were previously not enthusiastic about McCain? You’re right about that.

What you’re failing to understand though is that while she may excite that group — which includes probably the majority of the Christian contributors to this site — it is going to terrify and alienate everybody else.

You’ve not only lost the majority of independents who don’t want Creationism and abstinence-only sex “education,” you’ve also thrown into question the votes of the moderate Republicans who DID like McCain.

So seriously, thank you for giving us a Democratic victory in November.

At the risk of offending my fellow “Republicans:”

In the PBS moving “The Last Place on Earth,” there is a scene where Oskar Wisting and Roald Amundsen are looking down the slope of the TransAntarctic Mountains after a difficult climb. Wisting is excited. He says “We win!” and Amundsen says “Not so fast. The British won’t give up so easily. We have work to do.”

So it is now for the McCain/Palin team.

Just so you know, Amundsen was first to the South Pole.

There is a common theme here and elsewhere, Dem’s are desperate! As traditional opponents of developers, all of a sudden they are staunch supporters of a developer who took advantage of a Municipality for financial gain at the cost of the taxpayers.

Their only reason to suddenly take the side of a developer? So they can find a way to blame a republican vp candidate that has excited a previously unexcited powerful group of voters, evangelicals. DESPERATION!

If there was a gross mismanagement of the sports complex project, then:

1. Why did Sarah retain her position?
2. Why did she get elected to higher positions beyond her mayors seat?
3. Was she convicted of a crime?
4. Was there even an investigation into her purported failings?

The developer seems to be the cheif culprit in all of this, and Dems should be thrilled to have an opportunity to point out another evil developer and how he stuck it to a cities taxpayers. But being the hypocrites they are, Dems will jump in bed with whomever they can just so they can win. They don’t care about this country, they only care about forcing their agenda down the throats of Americans.
