Beautiful blue skies in Richmond right now. Looks like Hanna is going to make a mess of the last NASCAR race before the chase on Saturday though. I had free tickets to the Torque Club too.

My daughter called me last night from Virgina Beach. Her apartment is on the inner coastal waterway. She is going to some friends house inland. They are going to have a “hurricane party” over the weekend.

I wish it would swerve west and give us some rain the way Fay did.

Haven’t seen anything yet, but the early morning news showed what could flood up here, and NY would have to clear out over 2 million people. I’ve seen coastal evac signs, but no one ever gives them much thought. Something like Katrina would have to happen to move people in this metro area, but then, it would be too late.

We are not expecting a hurricane so you guys can come spend some time here. we are thinking of knocking down the extra room and building it up as two stories, you can help with that if you are here, then you could say you made your bedroom. And the deer fence to keep the coyotes from eating all the chickens. But other than that, put up your feet and enjoy the fresh air.

I have got to get on the Internet and find a good recipe for Hurricanes and get to the liquor store before they close and power goes out. Also need to get to Outback Steakhouse and order to go a couple of their Aussie Cheese Fries w/ Ranch Dressing appetizers. Each one of them has 2,900 calories and 182 grams of pure fat, the saturated kind. We won’t talk about the salt but you can’t have fries without salt and you can always add more if it isn’t enough for you. That should last me a week. It’s the 6 P’s at work.
Prior planning prevents piss poor performance.

It’s beginning to cloud up here in Northern VA. No wind, and the sun peeks through every now and then. We’re supposed to have rain by the end of the day.

Hot, humid, with just a few clouds in Vienna, VA right now. Heavy rains should coming after midnight, with gale force winds tomorrow evening. Similar to what we went through with Isabel a few years back.

Do share a good recipe for hurricanes. It will be interesting to compare the ingredients needed to create each categor storm.

Argh. Isabel knocked out my power for four days. The storms we had in June knocked my power out for four days.
I do not want my power knocked out.
