Welcome Emily!
As a newspaper reporter of some 25+ years now, I can honestly say that while journalism isn’t the highest paid career, it’s both gratifying and fun. Well, most of the time.
And what a blessing to relay life’s joys and tragedies and complexities of life to your readers, all with your own words, told in your own unique style. You’ll do great.
Enjoy.

Ah, and how typical — I have a very botched sentence in there, I now see.
