It’s Thursday already? What happened to the week?
Today’s quote is from an African-American pastor on abortion, the leading cause of death among black Americans since 1973: “The most dangerous place for an African American to be is in the womb of their African American mother.”

Sad.

Wanna say E.V. Hill but it is most likely the Dallas-based uber-Pastor, T.D. Jakes. Good to know this tragedy is on someone’s radar screen, but still as Dole used to ask “Where’s the outrage?”

A personal note… It’s going to be a sad Christmas here at the cabinet shop.
The boss just laid off everyone out in the shop except for 3 people, and the office help will be building cabinets until we get enough work…
I’ll be out in the shop if you need me…

I posted this last night, but I’ll do so again here.

Footage from an undercover camera inside an abortion clinic in Bloomington shows Planned Parenthood staff deliberately violating the state’s mandatory reporting laws for sexual abuse.
The footage shows Lila Rose, a UCLA student reporter and president of right-to-life advocacy group Live Action, posing as a 13-year-old girl. In an appointment with a Planned Parenthood nurse, Rose says she has been impregnated by a 31-year-old man, a clear case of child molestation under Indiana state law.
On tape, the nurse acknowledges her responsibility to report the incident, but assures Rose she will not. The nurse says, “I am supposed to report to Child Protective Services,” but assures Rose, “Okay, I didn’t hear the age [of the 31-year-old]. I don’t want to know the age.”
She then instructs Rose how to obtain a secret abortion by crossing state lines in order to avoid Indiana’s parental consent law. The nurse also coaches Rose to cover for the 31-year-old man by saying he is only 14. She says, “You’ve seen him around, you know he’s 14, he’s in your grade and whatever. You know what I mean.”
Rose said she and other students in Live Action recorded the video over the summer in a multi-state investigation of the abortion industry. Rose described the undercover audit, called The Mona Lisa Project, as “demonstrating the routine lawlessness of abortion providers at Planned Parenthood.” Rose noted, “Today’s video release is only a sample from many hours of similarly disturbing footage.”
Planned Parenthood, a tax-exempt nonprofit, made over $100 million in profits last year and has a billion-dollar budget, nearly a third of which comes from taxpayers through government funding.
Jackie Stollar, student president of a Live Action chapter in Oregon, accompanied Rose on the investigation. “In a repeated pattern, Planned Parenthood has violated the public trust. It should have its government funding revoked,” she said. “During an economic crisis, can the government really spare $300 million to support such an unethical organization?”
“The Mona Lisa Project demonstrates how quickly the abortion industry’s disrespect for unborn children becomes disregard for all humans,” Rose explained. “Planned Parenthood offers no solutions for the victim of statutory rape—they give her an abortion and a bag of condoms and send her straight back into the arms of the abuser.”
The video is available online at metacafe.com/users/LiveActionFilms,
and can also be found with more information on The Mona Lisa Project at LiveActionFilms.org. For special media requests for copies of footage and documentation, please contact info@liveactionfilms.org.

Wow, I just heard about that video last night, and now it’s already causing a ruckus here.

Make It Man,
Praying….

Very sorry, MIM. I hate it when people lose their jobs–we’ve been there twice in difficult situations.

So sorry, MiM. Will pray for them. How many people lost their jobs?
Business is down for my husband and we are having to put off Christmas shopping for a couple of weeks. We’re not buying a lot, Just for the kids and our moms.

So sorry MIM. I’ve been there, watching everyone around me pack up their desks. A horrible feeling, whether you’re leaving or staying.
And any one of us could be next in my industry as well.
I’ll be praying for you & those who lost their jobs at such a hard time of year.

Sad that blacks cannot see how there has been an ethnic cleansing going on ever since Margaret Sanger began her work. When will they see the light and stop voting for the very party that promotes this genocide? I guess when the federal government goes bankrupt and can no longer pay welfare recipients (many of whom are black).

I’m sorry MIM, I’ll be praying also. As KBells says, how many?
I would think the hardware stores in that part of Ga. would need help this time of year for people with your skills.

MIM, I feel sorry for your boss too. I’ve never had to do it, but my son says letting people go is the hardest job he has ever done. As I said to him, “Technical problems are easy.”

Chas,
I’m sure he’s right. There are some folks that should be laid off, and that you want to lay off, but it’s still a difficult thing to do. When it’s folks that you really don’t want to lay off, and want to take care of, it’s even worse. The boss seemed pretty discouraged this evening. I feel for him and his wife. They are friends of mine, so it makes it even worse to see them have to do this.
I think there were approximately 11 folks laid off. I don’t have an exact number, but that’s probably about it. If things don’t turn around in the next couple of weeks, all of the rest of us will be forced to look for a job…
As I read back on the posts, I think some of you are under the impression that I got laid off. I have not, so far, been laid off. But I have a feeling it’s right around the corner. I usually am pretty good about seeing this coming. I’m already formulating a plan, and will put feelers out just in case. The suggestion for the hardware store is probably a good one. I’ll put that on the list. (And yes, I already have a list.)
Thank you all for your prayers. I’m sure there are thousands more who need them as well. This will be difficult for at least another 6 months. Hopefully it will begin to ease up by May or June…

The problem is that no one is building houses around here now. There is still construction, but no homes. And the ones for sale are not selling. It’s just as well that no new homes are being built in Hendersonville though. This is not a case of “we’re in, now shut the door”. But the County Board has not planned for expansion of roads and utilities. We’re under water restrictions because of poor planning in the past. Even when the economy improves, they need to plan for expansion before new building occurs.

Our adoption is now complete and the children are ours and we are delighted.

Hallelujah! and congratulations, Mumsee! What wonderful news.

Oh Mumsee, how wonderful! How will you celebrate Gotcha Day?
Report comment to moderator
Seems like this has developed into two threads, but they are related in a way. If the womb hadn’t been such a dangerous place for so long, there’d have been more people needing cabinets.
Babies of all colours are more at risk in the womb than anywhere else, but I’ve noticed even in my home country, babies of colour are 2-3 times more likely to be killed. It’s a global genocide, and God won’t allow it to go on forever.

Mumsee – I am so happy for you & for the kids. Does this mean you can start homeschooling soon?
What has become of their older brother, who started out with you but was moved elsewhere?
Report comment to moderator
Yea, Mumsee.
BTW, we’re looking some good books on adoption for our son. Do you have any recommendations?

Mumsee,
Congratulations!!!

Contented,
You are so right. The only reason we have population growth is because of immigrants. If we had not killed our children in the womb, then this country would most likely be more productive also. But probably the same attitudes have done away with both production and reproduction.
I hear a lot of Latinos are headed south because they can’t find work…

Mumsee,
That’s great news! Congratulations! That must really be a relief.

Make it Man,
I am sorry. These really are tough times… I pray that as unlikely as this sounds, that God would turn this around for you and your boss and that this could become a really wonderful season for the both of you.
Times are tough. No one has looked at our house at all and my husband and I have already been separated for 2 months. (I think)

Mumsee, Congratulations!
This thread really is about weeping with those who weep and rejoicing with those who rejoice.
It is heartening to hear good things in these very challenging times.
Report comment to moderator
Thank you, all, we are rejoicing. And we started homeschooling two of them right after the pizza party but the other three had to return to school, one by choice and two for state reasons.
As for older brother, he continues to have his self imposed challenges, their older brother is now in juvie again so the pressure is off of the one we had for a bit. The kids write to the older brothers but do not get letters in reply.
On the other hand, they got phone calls today from three of their new older sibs so were well welcomed into the family.

Mumsee: Praise God.
A couple in my church just learned their hearing to finalize the adoption of their baby girl will be held on the morning of Dec. 24.
The court clerk was concerned that might be a “bad” day for them due to the holiday. But they said it was a perfect day. They couldn’t think of a better family Christmas gift.

Donna J,
Yesterday was Hubby’s birthday, he considered it a wonderful present! I would think having the adoption finalized at Christmas would be wonderful as well.
