In this post there are some profound thoughts, Tony. I've heard that "Jesus is in every particle of matter" (Michel Quoist). Yes, I know (when I take time to ponder it) that God breathed our life into us and we don't take a single breath outside of his power to be our breath. But I don't think I'd thought of --

>>> "every breath we draw contains millions of oxygen molecules that were once in the lungs of Jesus. This means, of course, that we are breathing the same air as... "

You're so right. How easily we forget. How often we forget about his might and power, and just try to live out our struggling little lives.

>> " “There is power in the Blood,” goes the hymn, and we might keep that more firmly in mind when we think on the night a virgin bore the God-child into the world. If one caress of a hem could staunch that woman’s unclean flow, what must nine months of sharing blood with God himself have wrought on blessed Mary? "

Wow! And we, as his offspring, with Christ present within us, share the blood with God himself! And we hardly even think of that, or see the hope and possibilities for miracles and healings and wholeness.

Since we, fragile shells that we are, have so much trouble remembering that our God continues to fill us with himself, may the Lord himself keep us reminded. That he is the answer, he is the way, he is the truth, he makes the difference between mundane existence and true transformation.
