Gov. Quinn asks Burris to resign
Sen. Roland Burris’ support continues to unravel. Just a few minutes ago, Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn, a fellow Democrat, said that the Rod Blagojevich-appointee should step down. Quinn added that a new senator should be chosen by special election.

My Illinois friends and coworker are really looking forward to getting the Blagojevich mess behind them. I hope it is soon.

This is changed a little from what I said yesterday, but I think Senator Burris should tell Governor Quinn and everyone else, “Indict me or kiss my booty.”
Find out if he did anything wrong. If he did, try him and send him to the pokey. If he didn’t, kiss his behind.
The rule of law stands in America, even for people we don’t like. In this case, Burris is a political embarrassment. That’s not a crime.

Gotta agree with StuBob here. I would be glad to be set straight on this, but nothing I’ve read so far really shows that he did illegal fundraising for Blago. I don’t blame the new Guv and others for wanting this long and great embarrassment to go away, but this isn’t how to do it.

Burris will no more resign than will Christopher Dodd (D-Countrywide).

This is RACISM! And it’s all Bush’s fault!

Burris should just look directly into the camera, shake his finger and say “I did not have political relations with that man, Mr Blagojevich!”

A Senate seat is a %*#@ing valuable thing and he shouldn’t just give it up without getting something in return.

In order for the less than lawful Democrats in IL to find a politician who is not corrupt for Obama’s old job, before he became a messiah, they will have to pick a Republican from Nebraska.

I am so sick of this story. The monotonous media loop continues day and night. Who cares? Let Illinois handle it.

It’s all so sadly true, yet Democrats can find solace in the knowledge that our Black goof isn’t nearly as whacky as your Black goof.

Some lefties think there are 500 million Americans rather the 300 million there really are. You just can’t believe anything they say because they simply have no idea what the real facts are. Scroopy must have been counting Canadians and Mexican as Americans too.

#11 Interestingly, Alan Keys ran for Burris’ seat against Obama and lost. He is a good guy, but definitely over the top with the rhetoric. Obama isn’t a radical communist, though some of the people on his campaign were.
Obama was the most liberal Senator in Congress. He is more properly a Democratic Socialist who wants to turn America into something more like Sweden.
He wants to increase the power of Washington in order to CHANGE America’s economic model into European style socialism. He has two years to push through all the radical programs he can until the voters change the imbalance of Congress.
