The second is sentimental, but I laughed at the Sotomayor, the Media (not reporting the important news) and the Parrots.

I understand what is being expressed in the parrots one, but I don’t see what basis there is for it. Are there any democratic governments that do support the coup, rather than wanting to restore the ousted leader to power?

I loved the Al Franken cartoon.

I know the first was about Sanford, but I still don’t understand it.

Pauline. In Honduras it is dictatorship vs. democracy. Obama favors dictatorship.
Obama announced through his press corp (CBS News) that the Honduran coup was “not legal.” On the contrary, the Honduran Supreme Court ruled that the Honduran military had acted correctly in response to “those who had publicly spoken out and acted against the Constitution’s provisions.” Zelaya was in the process of setting himself up as dictator-for-life by eliminating the Honduran Constitution’s presidential term limits. Obama supports him.
And no wonder. Obama is doing the same thing, only in a different way. Obama is assuring that the Democratic party will be in power for ever by raiding the treasury and making hefty payouts to Democratic programs and supporters. The White House also took over the census in order to change the way voting districts are counted in order to affect the number of Democratic representatives.
Other dictators have been more honest by simply declaring themselves dictators. Obama does it by buying up votes with taxpayer money. He is a defacto dictator in that he can enact and spend whatever he wants without Congress even reading a single bill. The cap and trade bill was passed before it was even completed. And he essentially owns the press.
Obama has accomplished what Hitler and Mussolini and Ortega and Chavez and Stalin and Castro all wanted, but he did it legally through the democratic process.
