Until recently, the Washington Times was run by Wesley Pruden, a Baptist from Arkansas. I take the Washington Times weekly edition. They have always been reliable. Bill Gertz is the best there is on military matters.
I haven't seen a change since Pruden left as editor.

"Is the Washington Times a good source of information for Korea given its owned by Rev. Moon?"

Did they quote the general correctly? If so, then it's irrelevant.

Obama is learning that campaigning is easy, but making the big decisions is not. He's kinda over a barrel here. He has been forced by NK to deploy a system he cut funding for, as his last line of defense against a missle launch that's been forewarned is coming. Which if it happens, is clearly an act of war. If NK lauches at Hawaii as advertised, and the missle is shot down, he looks bad for cutting the funding to an obviously wothwhile national defense system. Reagan for the idea, and Bush for carrying out, look like geniuses and Barry comes across looking like a naive amatuer. If the system fails to intercept, he won't take flack for cutting funds. But that will be meaningless if the missle should hit Hawaii.

Now Barry likes alot of Bush ideas, but pre-emptive strikes isn't one of them. So the idea of taking out the missle before launch is kinda out of the question. And then if you do that you must, as mynock pointed out last week on this, deal with the fact that SK will be overrun by NK, and we have 24,000 US servicemen dropped into the crap. So it's not really an option.

The best we can hope for is it never makes it's target, falling into the sea nowhere near Hawaii. Because if it plays out differently Obama's got some tough decisions ahead. He'll know how Bush felt, that's for sure. And I'm sure he's already aware that this job wasn't as easy as he thought. I wish him and the US the best here. This is one area I really don't want Obama to fail on.

Obama's latest statement about North Korea was "what we're also trying to do is to keep a door open for North Korea to start acting in a responsible way..."

This is about all he will ever do or say about North Korea even if they attacked Pearl Harbor with nukes. The message is that America is a friend of maniacal dictators. America also loves terrorists who will be given free tropical vacations at the expense of the American taxpayer if they will only love us.
