Our system of government promotes and even enhances the weak side of humans. Lacking accountability in position of responsibility. With little or no punishment for lack of poor decision making thousands of government employees from local schools to the white house pursue each minute of each day working towards retirement.And,or enhancing an image, shuffling papers, looking like we are doing something real important.

What was that old saying “if you can’t say something nice about someone then…..” With a world view of mankind including myself lost in total depravity, welded to the basic tendency of not basically good but basically bad, including myself. Any comments about current and past presidents must be couched on the fact these leaders, elected officials,politicians,bureaucrats, are just as human as the rest of us. Not perfect or bent toward perfectionism but just as confused and stuck on wonderment. In that light Mr. Bush did the best he could. That’s all we should expect from ourselves. Presently, Mr Obama is doing the best he can.

I agree with Kim in #12 to a point.

There are men who can lead this country, GOD knows who they are – Let us pray that happens.

We know from Scripture that things will become worse as we face the end, we can be the examples in our churches, families, business, or anywhere to tell others of Christ our Saviour.

President W said; “You can spend your money better than your government can.”

True statement!

The hard worker does deserve to rightfully reap the fruit of his or her own labor, with a fair minimum of liability to the tax man. That’s a fudamental principle of economic justice.

And while I honor George W. Bush’s service overall, I have to say that he helped prove the validity of this statement above by allowing the gov’t (congress) to spend too much of our money unwisely. But he does not hold a candle to Obama in unwise and unjust excessive deficit bulging spending.

I don’t think he cares if you hate him any more than any of the rest of us care if you hate him. Hate is what makes a person bitter so if you want to keep hating that is fine, you will probably hate Obama after he doesn’t deliver all your comforts also. The problem with hating is that you set up the next person whom you think will deliver on all his promises to give you comfort and class and coolness up for huge failure and even possibly your hate when he/she doesn’t do enough of what you think they should do.

So by all means keep hating Bush. There is an old saying “you reap what you sow”.

Kim, if I had kids, I’d be worried, too. But I don’t, so I only worry about the government knocking me off in the next 30 years. It seems no matter how you guys try to raise your kids up right, the entire society is against you.
