Not to start a rabbit trail but I’m guessing you were too young to be involved in the mid-90’s or before. Go read up on the Contract With America, then come back and tell us how Republicans have just recently opposed big government.

Barbara Boxer said that tomorrow the Democrats will unilaterally ram through Climate Bill in the Senate.

This massive energy bill will tax every living creature in the United States that gets food in stores or lives in a home. So much for Obama’s promise to not tax anyone making under $250K.

I’m guessing there will be another smoke screen next month when Obama cedes American sovereignty to a One World Government in Copenhagen.

And notice how October was the deadliest month for US military in Afghanistan and Obama is playing politics and golf and delaying any help to our troops.

Instead, the media focuses on anything except what is actually important.

Clearly, George W. Bush’s economic policies did indeed work well, until the Demcrats took congress in 2006. that was the turning point to some bumps in the road and then decline. Before that, we had a fantastic economy and resilient enough to sustain 9/11.

My concern is that he may actually be a Palin/Beck/Limbaugh Republican. He did say in his first debate with Deeds that he thought George W. Bush’s economic policies worked well.

Yikes.

But after my weekend researching McDonnell and Deeds, I’ve come to believe that McDonnell is actually a complete and total party man. He is willing to believe whatever the party tells him to believe. That is why he wrote that thesis in the 90’s — the Republican party at the time was all about family values and the danger of gays and working women. And he’s backed off those views now because the party has backed off those views. Now the party line is “less government so business can thrive” and “socialized medicine will destroy the best health care system in the Whole Wide World.” So that’s what McDonnell says.

Disappointing. I was intrigued to see that he has strong moderate support and he got endorsements from key moderates and even leftists. Now I think he’s just fooling them.

My prediction: He’ll play for the moderates now, but once he gets in office, McDonnell will be Mr. Republican.
