I do not think a Christian would want someone to continue in office no matter who they are. That is why some say when a man “cheats” on his wife he cannot be trusted with other things.

I think people are just saying that let’s not have a double standard–out with “bad” Republicans, especially if they are Christian.

I think Sanford should step down, but he has every right to make them prove it. And if I were representing him, I might be telling him that. But stepping down is different than making them prove it. He should step down for the good of the state and to devote himself to his defense.

Musing, if my not liking a politician was a valid ground for stepping down, 94 of the Senators would make the list and 432 of the Reps would be on the list as well.
