Josh Hamilton’s journey
All eyes tonight will be on the marquee pitching matchup of San Francisco’s Tim Lincecum and Texas’ Cliff Lee, as the Giants host the Rangers in Game 1 of the World Series. While that will be an exciting duel, I’ll likely be paying more attention to how Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton fares in his first Series. Even as a lifelong New York Yankees fan—the team Texas eliminated last week—I find it hard not to root for this man who has experienced much hardship as well as the redeeming grace of God in his life (see “Roller-coaster ride,” Oct. 23, 2010).
Here’s a video clip featuring the American League Championship Series MVP explaining his life’s journey:

So much for the pitching duel, eh?

Great story. God is so good! Hamilton didn’t have a great Game 1, but that should change very quickly. May the Ginger Ale celebrations continue!

Ranger journey in general too…Rays, yankees downed…Giants will be there toughest foe yet (pitching is better).
However, i was surprised tos ee the Giants pop 11 runs tonight. I’m thinking they used em all up though.
