Great interview. It was good to see the interviewer – Lauren Green – ask the important questions about religious and civil freedom. I’m glad that this storyis getting out in public because it has been ignored by the MSM.

The administration hates FoxNews. You can understand why. Do you realize the things we wouldn’t know if it weren’t for Fox?

I think this is the video that the link above was supposed to point to.
That was one of the best interviews ever on the subject of religious freedom in Afghanistan and the Middle East. Mindy is doing an incredible job.
She hit the nail on the head by pointing out that the fate of Afghan Christians is unknown because they have no law to appeal to. The Constitution gives lip service to tolerance, but then article 3 codifies intolerance of anything contrary to Islam as the law of the land.
Islamic law forbids “apostasy” under penalty of death. How is that in any way religious freedom. Islamic law demands that Christians and Jews be treated as second class citizens and pay jizha tax. And lastly, Islamic law declares perpetual war on infidels, including terror, torture and murder.
American has lost its way on the subject of religion. American policy on religious freedom is a disaster both at home and abroad. Christians do not have equal rights under the law either in America or in Afghanistan. As a nation America has become religiously ignorant.

Thanks KI. Does my link point the correct video?

We should have never allowed the Afghans to draft their own constitution. If you cannot choose your religion (or for that matter “choose” to be an atheist) you really dont have freedom in the truest sense.

You might find of interest an article in the latest National Geographic magazine “Changing Live of Afghan Women.” The one whose husband cut off her nose and ears is coming here for reconstructive surgery. There is also a discussion of why they immolate themselves because they can’t get divorced. On the upside, the 11 year old girl who tried to burn herself to death, does go to school where she is taunted. Then there’s the girl in jail. She was jailed because at 11 or 12 she was married to a 70 year old and when she couldn’t carry the infirm man around, his brothers complained, beat her, etc. Now she can’t get out because she has no male relative to come and get her, so she languishes year after year. There’s a life for you. Maybe this belongs in the be grateful for what you have thread.
