‘Obama … uh … I mean, Osama’
Courtesy of AOL, here’s a collection of video clips of various slips of the tongue this week following the death of Osama bin Laden (with a clip from a 2007 episode of NBC’s 30 Rock thrown in for good measure):

That’s really funny! One consonant is so easy to mix up.

The people who stayed safe were the ones who referred to UBL as bin Laden and to Obama as “the President”.

I’ve done it myself. Is this part of the reason so many news sources are spelling it Usama when this whole time it’s usually been Osama?

I am SOOOOO glad I’m not the ONLY one who did that the first time I was talking to someone about it, the night it was announced! But there is no video of it, unlike the news people! It really easy super easy to do.. For anyone!

Glen Beck was playing some of these on his radio program yesterday. The funniest one I heard was a local newcaster saying that President Obama was in the East Room of the White House to verify that, “in fact, President Obama is dead.” Just the fact that he used “President Obama” bothe times is hilarious. Then there was one who said Osama bin Laden was in San Francisco last week on a fundraising tour.

I’m pretty sure the late Sen. Edward M Kennedy (D-Mass.) [And you all knew that I spoze] had had just one two many gulps of Chivas when he bungled the names OBama and Osama.
But Teddy realized his gaffe and then proceeded to make an even bigger fool of himself as the assembled poohbahs around him yuk-yukked it up even further.
The gaffe was repeatedly played on Hannity’s show.
